Cash Management is a great addition to the RVS Utility Billing System for municipalites, and utilites that collect for non-utility funds, or systems that would like the convenience of a cash collections center for walk-in and drive-through customers.The Cash Management System includes a receipt printer and cash drawer that may be placed at the payment counter or drive-through window. It may be attached to a network or a stand-alone computer. Receipts may be entered for customers paying their utility bills as well those paying non-utility bills, such as fines paid to the police department, and charges for copies, licenses, etc. Utility payments entered throught the Cash Management System are not immediately posted to customers' accounts. This enables you to verify that correct amounts were entered and to make necessary corrections before posting them to the accounts. If an account is accessed though Customer Information and a payment was entered through Cash Management, but not yet posted, the amount entered will be displayed on the screen as a pending payment. The balance on the account does not reflect that payment. Different hardware options are available with the Cash Management System. The Epson TM-U375 printer is capable not only of printing receipts but also endorsing checks and marking customers' bills as paid. The Star SP210F printer simply prints receipts. The cash drawer is available with or without a media slot. Checks can be dropped in the media slot without opening the cash drawer. |
